Investment Partner Introductions

Overview

ACERA is a well-diversified public pension plan with a multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio. Rather than making investments directly, we work with expert investment managers who handle specific asset classes on our behalf.

Investment Products and Services Introductions (IPSI)

The ACERA IPSI process allows prospective investment managers and vendors to better understand ACERA’s needs while enabling our staff to learn about their products/services. It is essential to note that IPSI is separate from ACERA’s investment manager search process. (See our Investment Policies for more on our search process.)

Managers and vendors who wish to present their product/services to ACERA for consideration should complete the IPSI Form below. If their product/services aligns with ACERA’s current workplan and business needs, our staff will forward the relevant information to ACERA’s consultant(s) for further review. (NEPC is ACERA’s general investment consultant, and Callan is ACERA’s real estate investment consultant.) After internal review is completed, staff may decide that an in-person or virtual introduction meeting is warranted and will reach out for scheduling. Each introductory meeting lasts approximately 1 hour, and meetings are held at least 2 days per month, usually on the 2nd and 3rd Thursdays.
