Get an E-Copy of Your 1099-R in Your ACERA Account on or After January 12

ACERA retirees and survivors will receive their 1099-Rs in the mail by January 31, 2026. ACERA reports income to payees on IRS form 1099-R, and the form should be filed with your 2025 tax return.

Like last year, we’ve optimized your security by displaying only the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number on your 1099-R. Rest assured, when we transmit your data to the IRS, it will include your full Social Security Number, ensuring accurate matching with your records.

Access Your 1099-R Form Electronically Starting January 12, 2026

You can access your 1099-R form through your MemberDirect account starting on January 12, 2026, when we post the 1099-Rs to member accounts.

If You’ve Logged Into MemberDirect Since January 2025

Simply log in again with your username and password.

If You Have Not Logged Into MemberDirect Since January 2025

ACERA relaunched our member portal in January 2025. If you haven’t logged in since then, you will need to enroll in the new member portal, MemberDirect. You will need to request an enrollment PIN and use your PIN to enroll after you receive it in the mail.

New PINs Replace Old PINs: If you request a new PIN through MemberDirect, it will replace any previous PINs. To avoid delays, if you’ve recently requested a PIN in the last few days, wait for your original letter to arrive before requesting a new PIN. All PIN letters should arrive via U.S. mail within a few days after they are requested.
