Lisa Johnson serves as ACERA’s Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Operations. Ms. Johnson has spent her 31-year career serving the residents of Alameda County, starting in the County’s Information Technology Department. She later moved to the County Auditor-Controller’s Agency, leading the agency’s Information Technology Services Division as Division Chief, planning, leading, and directing operations in support of the agency’s goals and critical business systems. Ms. Johnson moved to the Auditor-Controller Agency’s Central Payroll unit in 2015 and became Assistant Controller in 2017, leading the County’s Central Payroll operations, serving more than 10,000 employees and supporting all aspects of compensation. In this role she also contributed to business continuity initiatives and annual budget preparation. 

Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems from San Francisco State University, and her Master’s in Public Administration, Public Policy Analysis, from California State University, East Bay.
