ACERA Benefit Check-In for Retirees
ACERA periodically conducts ACERA Benefit Check-Ins for retirees of a certain age, as well as those living outside the USA, to help ensure that we have accurate records and that benefit payments continue to reach the right people.
These check-ins are a common practice among public pension systems. They help us confirm that our contact information for you is current and that your monthly benefit can continue without interruption.
If you receive an ACERA Benefit Check-In notice from ACERA asking you to verify your status, please know that it is a legitimate request. Responding promptly ensures there’s no disruption in your benefit payments.
How It Works
- You receive a Benefit Check-In Letter from ACERA’s Internal Audit Department.
- Follow the instructions in the letter to complete the enclosed Benefit Check-In form.
- Mail the form to ACERA within 30 days to avoid disruption to your benefit payments.
