ACERA Awarded for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for its First PAFR

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada has granted ACERA the award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting.  The ACERA 2005 Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for fiscal year ended December 31, 2005 is an 8-page, plain English, member-friendly booklet about the operations and financial position of ACERA.  It is ACERA’s very first PAFR publication making the receipt of the award even more outstanding.

This prestigious national award recognizes conformance to the highest standards for preparing state and local government popular reports.  To receive it, our PAFR had to conform to GFOA program standards for creativity, presentation, understandability, and reader appeal.

ACERA has received a similar award for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the last ten years.
