Board of Retirement The Alameda County Board of Retirement is responsible for establishing policies governing the administration of the ACERA’s retirement plan, making benefit determinations, and managing the investment of the systems assets. The nine-member Board operates under authority granted by Article XVI of the Constitution of the State of California. Board members, with the exception of the County Treasurer, serve three (3) year terms. Basic Board Responsibilities
The ACERA Board of Retirement is currently composed of the following members:
Regular monthly Board meetings are held every third Thursday of the month; however, the Board may meet in special sessions as circumstances warrant. Additionally, the Board has standing committees that meet once a month and ad hoc committees that meet on an as-needed basis. All meetings are normally held in the C.G. “Bud” Quist ACERA Board Room, 475 14th Street, 10th Floor, Oakland, CA 94612.
