Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson is currently 1st Vice-Chair of the ACERA Board Officers. He is Vice-Chair of the Evaluation Committee, and is a member of the Investment, Retirees, Actuarial, Audit, and By-laws Committees. He was appointed to the ACERA Board of Retirement in 2001.
Supervisor Carson chairs several Alameda County committees and organizations including: the Alameda County East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA), the Budget Work Group and the Personnel, Administration, and Legislation Committee. He is also a member of several Boards of Directors for numerous organizations including: the California State Association of Counties (CSAC), a 58-county statewide supervisorís organization; the National Association of Counties (NACO); the Bay Area Council Economic Institute; the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC); and the Alameda County Waste Management Authority.
He attended the John F. Kennedy School of Law and earned a Master of Public Administration from California State East Bay and a bachelorís degree in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. Keith is married to Maria Carson and is the father of two adult children; he also has three grandchildren. He hails from Berkeley.
