Annette Cain-Darnes

Annette Cain-Darnes, a Texas native, graduated from the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast School of Banking. Ms. Cain-Darnes worked in banking for over 20 years with three nationally known banks and a nationally known investment-banking firm specializing in providing capitol for small, mid, and large cap funds, as well as for municipalities.
An active participant in her community, Ms. Cain-Darnes has served at local and state levels both advocating and representing small business, minority, and women’s issues as they relate to access to capital. She has also served on numerous boards as both a founding director and director/officer. Before her appointment to the ACERA Board in 1999, Ms. Cain-Darnes served as trustee for the City of Oakland Police and Firemen’s Retirement Fund. Ms. Cain-Darnes has served on the ACERA Board in numerous capacities including chair of the Board in 2003.
